Teachers are at the heart of the school. More
than 35 fully qualified teachers work at the Prinseschool and
International School Twente, bringing with them all their varied
talents. Their qualifications, experience, background and expertise
ensure that the children receive a high standard of education. All our teachers frequently attend educational workshops and seminars in order to update their knowledge.
The
staff at the International School Twente is fluent in English (mainly
native) and familiar with the international setting and cultural
diversity of the students.
School management is provided by a Central Education supervising Intendant and two principals.
Central Education supervising Intendant:
Mr. Bert Jansen began his career in education as a teacher, with a training background at the "Pedagogische Academie". Later he studied to become a trained psychotherapist and graduated from the University of Utrecht. In
2005 he became a Master of Educational Super Intendancy (MES) from the
University of Nijmegen. In 2006 he earned his Master's Degree in Public
Administration from the University of Utrecht (MA).
As
Principal, Bert joined the Prinseschool in 2000. His experience as a
"trouble shooter", strategic manager and team leader solved many
personnel problems at the school. Personally, he holds the belief that
in order to reach higher educational goals, a school must develop the
optimal function of employees. Bert
is fortunate to be married to Mieke. Mieke is a graduate of Educational
Theory at the Amsterdam University (MSC). Together, Bert and Mieke have
raised four children.
